The European Union has no consistent, coherent or complete food policy, a study commissioned by a number of European organisations and published on Thursday 24 May has found. The study’s authors take the view that measures are needed to ensure that the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) really does protect public health and the environment and to make the agricultural sector sustainable.
