Pier Antonio Panzeri concerned at sentence of Tibetan activist Tashi Wangchuk

22/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – Pier Antonio Panzeri (S&D, Italy), the chair of the European Parliament's sub-committee on human rights, has said he is "gravely concerned" at the sentence of Tibetan activist Tashi Wangchuk to five years' imprisonment on charges of inciting separatism.  "Tashi Wangchuk undertook fully legitimate work advocating for the linguistic and cultural rights of Tibetans", Panzeri stated in a press release.  He added that the peaceful activity of promoting the...
