MEPs losing patience with Council's inertia regarding country by country tax transparency reporting

Anger is mounting among MEPs given the inertia of the Council of the EU and the fact that after four rotating presidencies a general approach has still not been reached on the proposal for country by country “reporting”. On Wednesday 18 April in Strasbourg, MEPs questioned the Council about possible solutions for unlocking the situation and the chances for the dossier to be adopted before the end of the current legislature.
