18/04/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 18 April, the European Commission and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of Argentina signed an administrative arrangement encouraging cooperation in marine research and innovation. According to a Commission press release, the partners will work together to tackle challenges linked to the Atlantic Ocean, including ocean observation, food security, polar research and climate variability. On 17 May in Brussels, the European Commission will be organising the Blue Invest 2018 matchmaking event, which brings together innovators and the financial community to boost the economic potential of the ocean while protecting its marine resources.
