ETSC advocates new vehicle safety standards for reducing rate of infant mortality on the roads

26/02/2018 (Agence Europe)In a press release on Monday 26 February, the European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) calls on the European Union to make Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) and Automated Emergency Braking (AEB) compulsory in all the EU vehicles, in an effort to reduce the number of children killed on the roads. 8,000 children aged between 0 and 14 have been killed on the roads over the past ten years.  These demands by the ETSC are part of the future Commission presentation...
