170,000 Georgians have already enjoyed visa free travel since March 2017

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini announced on Monday 5 February that over 170,000 Georgians have already benefitted from visa liberalisation, in effect since 28 May 2017, for short term stays (see EUROPE 11757).

“Now, more than 170,000 Georgian citizens have enjoyed visa free travel to the Schengen area”, explained Mogherini after the EU/Georgia association council in Brussels, which was attended by Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili. ...
