In-depth investigation launched into Romanian support measure for public rail freight operator

On Monday 18 December, the European Commission opened an in-depth investigation to determine whether two measures taken by the Romanian authorities in favour of the public rail freight operator CRF Marfa constitute a breach of the EU state aid rules.
