30/11/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 30 November, the European Commission proposed to earmark €1 billion for 39 transport projects through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). The Commission considers that this amount should help public-private current financing investment worth a total of €4.5 billion. The projects selected are located along the main corridors of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and involve rail transport, decarbonisation and improved road transport, in addition to maritime port and inland waterway developments. The CEF committee is due to formally approve this proposal, which is not expected to encounter any difficulties. (LT)
