23/11/2017 (Agence Europe) – On the sidelines of his trip to Bern, Switzerland, on Thursday 23 November, the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, announced that he was to meet the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, in Brussels on 4 December in the framework of the Brexit negotiations and the ultimatum issued by the EU's negotiator-in-chief, Michel Barnier, to the British government on 10 November. This 24 November, the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, will meet May. Amongst other things, they are to discuss the level of the financial settlement and the offer to this effect that the Prime Minister is getting ready to make. The idea of a new round of negotiations before the European Summit of 14 and 15 December is doing the rounds, but has yet to be confirmed. (SP)
