On Monday 6 November, the European Union called on all parties in Lebanon to continue the dialogue and ongoing work to maintain the country's stability following the resignation of Saad Hariri on Saturday 4 November.
"All parties should pursue constructive dialogue and build upon the work achieved in the last 11 months to strengthen its institutions, as well as the important steps undertaken to prepare parliamentary elections in early 2018", an EU foreign affairs spokesperson told EUROPE.
