European Parliament calls for greater caution in liberalising farm trade

Ahead of the Council of the EU granting the European Commission negotiating mandates and instructions for free-trade agreements (FTA) between the EU and Australia, and the EU and New Zealand, the European Parliament passed two resolutions on Thursday 26 October prepared by Daniel Caspary (EPP, Germany) laying down guidelines for the upcoming talks with the two countries.
