EU leads global initiative (without USA) to end trade in goods used for torture

On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York on Monday 18 September, the EU, Argentina and Mongolia together launched a new global initiative to ban trade in goods used for torture or capital punishment (including metal spikes, electric shock belts, devices for electrocution, lethal chemical agents).
