88% of EU companies operating in South-East Asia want a bi-regional free trade agreement

According to a report published by the EU-ASEAN Business Council, nearly nine out of ten (88%) European companies operating in South-East Asia think that the EU should conclude a bi-regional free trade agreement with the ASEAN bloc (Brunei, Burma/Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam).  This is a clear increase compared with the 66% recorded in 2016.  Furthermore, over half (55%) think that they are at a disadvantage in the region...
