The European Commission intends to continue and reinforce its actions to support the member states in fighting terrorism, particularly after the attacks in Catalonia this August.
The institution, which is satisfied with the progress made by the member states, is soon to propose new legislative initiatives, more specifically on the interoperability of information systems. This is the message passed on by the European Commissioner for the Security Union, Julian King, on Thursday 7 September.
