Contaminated eggs, French authorities not aware of potential presence of amitraz

The Dutch government confirmed on Wednesday 23 August that a second insecticide, amitraz, was sued by Chickfriend, the service provider accused in the case of Fipronil-contaminated eggs. The French authorities reacted on 24 August, stating that they had not been informed about this through the European early warning system (RASFF).
