Airlines for Europe calls on member states to reduce queues at airports

27/07/2017 (Agence Europe) – In a press release published on Thursday 27 July, Airlines for Europe an organisation representing several airlines called on the member states to take measures to reduce queues at Union airports. Implementation of regulation 2017/458 seeks to strengthen external border controls but, according to Airlines for Europe, has recently led to thousands of delays due to insufficient staff numbers being assigned to carry out these tasks.
