During the 70th edition of the Cannes Festival, around 100 film makers made an appeal to the European Union to protect its cultural and creative industries. In a letter sent to the European institutions on Monday 22 May, these film makers appealed for a strong cultural policy and clear rules on copyright.
Signatories include the Dardenne Brothers (Belgium), Costa Gavras (France), Christian Mungiu (Romania) and Dariusz Jablonski (Poland).
