First session of civil society committee overseeing trade negotiations with EU

16/05/2017 (Agence Europe) – The president of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), Georges Dassis, was in Morocco last week to co-chair the first session of the joint EU-Morocco committee alongside his Moroccan counterpart, Nizar Baraka.  According to Moroccan media sources, this new joint structure is aimed at acting as the "interface between civil society and the free trade agreement negotiators".  Dassis and Baraka "underlined the importance of the different civil...
