10/05/2017 (Agence Europe) – The chairperson of the human rights subcommittee of the European Parliament, Pier Antonio Panzeri (S&D, Italy), undertook a mission to assess the human rights situation in Morocco at the beginning of the week. On Monday 8 May 2017 he had a meeting with the President of the Moroccan House of Representatives, Habib El Malki. According to a press release from the Moroccan House of Representatives dated 8 May, this exchange of views focused on, “several issues of interest to Moroccan society, particularly all abortion related subjects, conditions for prisoners in penal institutions, capital punishment and Moroccan childhood related questions”.
