Schäuble assured of broad consensus at Finance G20 of Washington on the plague of protectionism

The German finance minister, Wolfgang Schäuble, reported broad consensus on the dangers of protectionism at a meeting of the G20 finance ministers on the sidelines of the spring meetings of the IMF and the World Bank, in Washington on Friday 21 April. However, although the United States seems to have relaxed its position, no final statement bears witness to this consensus.
