The European Parliament is preparing to adopt, in Strasbourg on Wednesday 5 April, a firm resolution on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the EU, in which the principal political groups - EPP, S&D, ALDE and Greens/EFA who were joined on Tuesday afternoon by the GUE/NGL group - are to reiterate their red lines for the negotiations between London and the EU, theoretically to begin on 22 May.
