In the six weeks since European Commissioner for Agriculture Phil Hogan launched the consultation on modernising and simplifying the common agricultural policy (CAP), more than 25,000 submissions have been received from stakeholders, the Commission announced on Thursday 30 March (see EUROPE 11733 and 11717).
The consultation will run until 2 May, and the Commission will present a summary of the responses received on the future of the CAP on 7 July.
