29/03/2017 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Wednesday 29 March that “West Wales coracle-caught sewin” (UK) had been registered as a protected geographical indication (PGI). West Wales coracle-caught sewin is the name given to fish of the Salmo trutta species caught using the ancient Welsh traditional method of coracle fishing. This trout is fished in the rivers Tywi, Taf and Teifi in West Wales. (LC)
