07/03/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Saturday 4 March, the spokesperson for the European External Action Service condemned the execution earlier that day, in Jordan, of 15 people for terrorism and other serious crimes. "This execution is a significant setback, given that Jordan had observed an informal moratorium between 2006 and 2014", the spokesperson stated in a press release, saying that the EU was strongly opposed to the use of the death penalty in all circumstances.
