The quality of the European Union’s drinking water and bathing water continues to improve but much remains to be done to ensure that no threat whatsoever is posed to people’s health, according to a report published by the European Environment Agency (EEA) at the end of November.
The report on European water and public health policies reveals that pollution, from agricultural run-off and storm water overflows, for example, poses a threat to the quality and to improvement of the resource.
