05/10/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 5 October, the MEP Franck Proust was elected president of the French delegation of the EPP Group at the European Parliament until the end of its current term. This delegation is encouraging Alain Lamassoure, Proust's predecessor, to throw his hat into the ring for the presidency of the Parliament, according to a press release (see EUROPE 11638). Lamassoure becomes first vice-president of the French delegation of the EPP Group. (LC)
