On Tuesday 13 September, the secretary of state at the Slovak foreign and European affairs ministry, Lukáš Parízek, and the director general for Europe and Central Asia at the European External Action Service, Thomas Mayr-Harting, announced that an EU-Central Asia ministerial meeting will be held on the fringes of a conference in Brussels on Afghanistan on 4 and 5 October.
