On Thursday 1 September, Karima Delli MEP (Greens/EFA, France) proposed that an independent European market monitoring authority be set up, which would carry out its own tests. Delli put this forward in her own draft opinion on the regulation for the approval and monitoring of the motor vehicles market, which she presented to the transport committee on Thursday 1 September.
