31/08/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 31 August, the European Commission announced that it had given a total of 300,000 doses of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) vaccines to the Republic of Mauritius, in support of their FMD vaccination campaign, which affects cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. The Republic of Mauritius asked for urgent assistance in order to be able to tackle the ongoing outbreaks in the islands of Mauritius and Rodrigues. The vaccine comes from the EU vaccine bank. The...
