30/08/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 30 August, the EU policy and security committee (COPS) appointed Italian police officer Vincenzo Tagliaferri to head the European Union’s civilian assistance mission for integrated management of Libya’s borders (EUBAM Libya). Tagliaferri takes up office on 1 September 2016, replacing Finnish national Antti Juhani Hartikainen, who has been head of EUBAM Libya since it was set up in 2013. (CCG)
