25/08/2016 (Agence Europe) – The Glyphosate Task Force (GTF), a consortium of businesses requesting the renewal of authorisation for glyphosate in the EU, decided on Wednesday 24 August to provide public access under very strict conditions to 71 toxicology studies owned by its members that were used by the EFSA and BFR in Germany in their re-assessment of this controversial herbicide under the renewal of authorisation procedure (EUROPE 11525). Private and confidential data has been removed from the studies, under EU Regulation 1107/2009 on the marketing of phytosanitary products. A reading room will be open to the public until 18.00 on 31 October. To be eligible for the consultation, people who are interested need to register online in advance at: http://www.gtfstudies.org/registration (AN)
