23/08/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 August, EU justice ministers and their representatives paid tribute to the victims of totalitarianism, at a conference held in Bratislava by the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the EU, to mark the European Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Totalitarianism. On Monday, the delegations visited the Gate of Freedom monument, at the foot of Devin Castle, to pay tribute to the victims. Working meetings took place the next day. The ministerial talks also covered the rise of radicalisation in Europe, a Slovak press release explains. The participants shared their best practices to fight radicalisation, from the point of view of prevention and suppression. (SP)
