On Tuesday 12 July, European finance ministers adopted the anti-tax avoidance directive, which introduces into European legislation measures from the OECD's BEPS action plan to combat aggressive tax optimisation, along with measures included in the initial proposals for a common consolidated tax basis for company taxation (EUROPE 11575, 11577).
