01/07/2016 (Agence Europe) - EU speaks out against another deadly suicide attack. On Thursday 30 June, the European External Action service (EEAS), on behalf of the European Union, spoke out against the suicide attack of the same day, which targeted Afghan police recruits, then those who rushed to help. At least 27 people lost their lives and some 40 others were injured in this attack, which was carried out by two assailants in the suburbs of Kabul. The EU will continue to stand with our Afghan partners and friends, the EEAS said, adding that the international conference on Afghanistan to be held in Brussels on 4 and 5 October “will be a vital and complementary step for the EU and the international community in delivering on these commitments”.
