Brussels, 20/06/2016 (Agence Europe) - On behalf of the EU on Monday 20 June, the Council of the EU authorised the signature and provisional implementation of the economic partnership agreement (EPA) between the EU and the Eastern African Community (EAC - Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda).
The EPA negotiations between the EU and EAC have been finished since October 2014 (see EUROPE 11179).
