06/06/2016 (Agence Europe) - Gauzès new EFRAG President. Last week at the end of a public hearing, French Christian Democrat, Jean-Paul Gauzès, a former MEP, was appointed President of the European Financing Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG). This is a private association that brings together stakeholders and national organisations that seek to become the "European voice" in accounts reporting. Mr Gauzès replaces the outgoing president of the group, Roger Marshall. This nomination requires the formal approval of the European Parliament, which will give its opinion at the July plenary session. (MB)
