08/03/2016 (Agence Europe) - EP approves text on transmissible animal diseases. On Tuesday 8 March, the European Parliament approved the text of the new Regulation on transmissible animal diseases (animal health legislation - see EUROPE 11497). The report by Jasenko Selimovic (ALDE, Sweden) on this text was adopted by show of hands at an early second reading, having been approved by the Council in December 2015.
