29/01/2016 (Agence Europe) - EU imposes anti-dumping duty on Chinese steel used for reinforced concrete. On Thursday 28 January, the European Commission adopted a regulation imposing a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of high fatigue performance steel concrete reinforcement bars originating in China. The Official Journal of the EU announced on Friday 29 January that while the Commission continues its investigation into the alleged dumping of Chinese producers, the EU will impose provisional duties ranging from 9.2% to 13% on the Chinese imports of these products. The Commission opened an anti-dumping investigation into these products from China in April 2015 following a request from the European Steel Association, Eurofer. (EH)
