Brussels, 14/12/2015 (Agence Europe) - EU fisheries ministers quickly came to political agreement in Brussels on Monday 14 December on total allowable catches (TACs) and quotas in the Black Sea next year.
The European Commission decided against continuing with its proposal for a ban on turbot fishing in 2016. The Council decided to set the turbot TAC at 86.4 tonnes (to be shared equally between Romania and Bulgaria), the same as in 2015.
