14/09/2015 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner Bienkowska visits Washington. The Commissioner for the Internal Market, Industry and Entrepreneurship, Elzbieta Bienkowska, is in the US from 14 to 16 September, where she will meet the US Trade Representative (USTR), Mike Froman, the US Secretary of Commerce, Penny Pritzker, and representatives of American and European industry and trade associations to discuss opportunities for transatlantic economic cooperation. Bienkowska will address the Atlantic Council with the speech on the importance of the future EU/United States trade agreement (TTIP), and the opportunities on offer from a European single market opened up to third countries. The Commissioner will also visit the Siemens Healthcare Centre and the Research Triangle Park. (EH)
