12/06/2015 (Agence Europe) - EIB backing for Slovenian motorway expansion. The European Investment Bank (EIB) announced on Friday 12 June that it is lending €145 million to finance the construction of a new 13-kilometre long section of motorway in eastern Slovenia. EIB funds will also support investments to improve transport security by upgrading the motorway's electro-mechanical equipment, introducing intelligent transport systems and control centres. (PH)
