Strasbourg, 08/06/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 8 June, the Council of the EU decided to impose an arms embargo and sanctions against the leader of the Yemeni Houthi rebels, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, and against the son of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh, Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The two men are subject to a visa ban and an assets freeze due to their “key role in facilitating the military expansion of the Houthi movement allied with regular army units loyal to ex-President Saleh”....
