Brussels, 21/04/2015 (Agence Europe) - The International Migration Organisation (IMO) confirmed on Tuesday 21 April that 800 people lost their lives when a boat capsized off the coast of Libya on Sunday. According to the UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and the IMO, this is the largest single loss of life in the Mediterranean. It was following this disaster that European Council President Donald Tusk called an emergency European summit for Thursday 23 April.
