Brussels, 14/04/2015 (Agence Europe) - The Committee of the Regions (CoR) will meet for its plenary session on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 April 2015.
The plenary will get underway on Thursday afternoon with the adoption of the opinion of the CoR on the investment plan of the European Commission (see EUROPE 11275), which will precede an examination of the enlargement strategy, the White Paper on transport, the end of dairy quotas and European cultural heritage. Friday morning will be given over to debates on the territorial agenda and energy efficiency in the construction sector. New members of the bureau will also be elected and a decision on the 2016 budget will be made.
Additionally, the CoR is to host a conference day, on Wednesday 15 April, on the investment plan of the European Commission and its impact on the regions. Its guests will include Roberto Gualtieri (S&D, Italy), president of the parliamentary committee on economic and monetary affairs, and Jyrki Katainen, vice-president of the European Commission.
