02/04/2015 (Agence Europe) - MEPs approve EGF funding for France. MEPs on the European Parliament's budgets committee gave their approval, on Wednesday 1 April, to the proposal to make funding available from the European globalisation adjustment fund (EGF) to help some 2,500 workers made redundant by former French road haulage company Mory-Ducros (see EUROPE 11260). Once approval has been granted by the plenary session of the Parliament (vote scheduled for 15 April) then by the Council of the EU (on 20 April), €6 million will be provided. (Jan Kordys)
