12/03/2015 (Agence Europe) - Romania shortly to unveil its action plan for the absorption of funding 2007-2013. Romanian Minister for European Funding Eugen Teodorovici has submitted his action plan for the absorption of structural funding for the period from 2007 to 2013 to Regional Policy Commissioner Corina Cretu. This plan still has to be approved by DG Regio. According to a source close to the matter, this should take no more than one or two weeks. The action plan was drafted following a meeting between the Romanian authorities and DG Regio on 28 January 2014. Its preparation is part of the work of the task force put in place by the commissioner to assist member states which are finding difficulty in absorbing funding for the 2007-2013 period. (JC)
