On Wednesday 4 March, the college of commissioners formally adopted a decision of European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on setting up a group of commissioners responsible for coordinating work on the negotiations for the transatlantic trade and investment partnership (TTIP). The group includes European Commission First Vice-President Frans Timmermans, Vice-President for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness Jyrki Katainen, and Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmström.
