10/02/2015 (Agence Europe) - Portuguese guarantee scheme for EIB loans extended. On Tuesday 10 February, the European Commission extended, until the end of June, the state guarantee scheme granted to Portuguese banks themselves guaranteeing loans to Portuguese businesses from the European Investment Bank. It finds that this scheme, which has been in place since 2008, still complies with the guidelines on State aid to banks in times of crisis. (MB)
