10/12/2014 (Agence Europe) - European General Court slightly reduces ONP's fine. On Wednesday 10 December, the European General Court slightly reduced the fine levied by the scam on the French pharmacies organisation, Ordre National des Pharmaciens (ONP) from €5 million to €4.75 million, due to an attenuating cirmstance. The court confirmed the Commission's main criticisms that ONP had acted to hold back the entry on the French market of a European laboratory group (Labco) and wanted to restrict its ability to compete with other laboratories on the market for medical tests. It had also tried to impose a minimum price for such medical tests. (JK)
