GUE/NGL call for action against Italy over migrants

Brussels, 01/12/2014 (Agence Europe) - MEP Barbara Spinelli (GUE/NGL) has tabled a written question to the European Commission asking for the launch of infringement proceedings against Italy over violence against migrants, the groups has announced in a press release.

The written question has been signed by 34 MEPs, mainly from the GUE/NGL. Spinelli says that a circular sent out by the Italian Ministry of Interior on 25 September states that “irregular migrants refusing to be identified...
